Hi there, just wanted to make sure you know the best ways to use Elicit to find papers.

Elicit uses semantic search, meaning we search for papers based on the meaning of your query rather than keywords. In general, this means we’ll find you a broader _and_ more relevant set of papers than keyword searching in PubMed or Google Scholar.

To make Elicit’s semantic search work even better:

**1. Write clear research questions instead of keywords.**  
Instead of "saunas effectiveness", ask, "What are the health effects of using saunas?"

**2. Use filters to find more recent and higher-impact articles.**  
In addition to publication year and journal quality, you can filter by **study type** and **keywords**.

**3. Use “Show More Like These” to find papers in the citation trail, ranked by similarity.**
