| Hello! We got a ton of requests for summary columns, so we added them to [Elicit](/content/site-root.html). Before, there wasn't a way to summarize papers that you had uploaded to your [library](/content/library/index.html). Now, you can run the [Extract data from PDFs workflow](/content/?workflow=upload-papers/index.html) and add the "Summary" column: |

| We also added "Summary of introduction" and "Summary of discussion". "Summary of introduction" can show how a paper fits into the literature on a research question, and "Summary of discussion" can show how it helps answer that question: |

| It only makes sense to use "Summary of introduction" and "Summary of discussion" when Elicit has access to the full paper. Either use the "Has PDF" [filter](https://support.elicit.com/en/articles/911233) in the [Find papers workflow](/content/?workflow=table-of-papers/index.html) or upload the paper to your library and use [Extract data from PDFs](/content/?workflow=upload-papers/index.html). In addition to these new columns, when Elicit cannot provide an answer for a column, it will now try to explain why: |

| Finally, Elicit's answers are now more concise. The new columns and the improvements to Elicit's answers work best in [high-accuracy mode](https://support.elicit.com/en/articles/597825), available to Elicit Plus subscribers. I hope these improvements to Elicit columns help you extract data and insights from papers more quickly and reliably! |
